The new neighbourhood will utilise existing access arrangements and not introduce new connecting roads or vehicular bridges across the river.
- Storrs Bridge Lane and Rowell Lane will be re-used and enhanced for vehicular access.
- New internal roads will be private roads to create intimate development clusters centred around village greens. Street lighting can be minimised.
- No vehicular link connecting the two main development sites to prevent car use through the site. This will remove the continuation of built form through the valley.
- Existing bridges for the top and bottom sites will be replaced with new single track bridges to calm traffic.
- Walking route and rights of way across the site will be retained and enhanced with ongoing financial support from the development by way of service charges.
- Some development clusters are centred around a village green with loop lanes to reduce visual impact and create slow car free spaces.
